Effective Content Creation for a Flipped Classroom
Limited Capacity seats available

In a flipped learning environment, teachers create or curate digital content that students access outside of group time. Success in the flipped classroom requires effective content so that students can come to class prepared to explore and apply what they've learned. Participants in this workshop will learn how to create instructional videos that will engage student interest and empower them to understand the material. Participants will explore different styles of video creation as they work with different free and paid recording software. Participants should bring content for a video lesson which will be recorded and completed during the workshop to bring back and use with their students.

Creating Digital Content for an iPad Classroom
Limited Capacity seats available

As a growing number of districts are exploring the use of technology in their classrooms, so too they are exploring the capacity for new and exciting ways to connect technology to learning. In this session, we will be exploring how teachers can give access to information to learners through both iBooks and iTunes U. By doing so, teachers have more control over what material is available while also having access to updates whenever needed. Be sure to bring an iPad and USB sync cable, as well as a unit of study. When you leave, you will be on your way to a new digital environment.
